For nature lovers and active holidaymakers
Discover Siusi allo Sciliar!
A journey through time …
… through the numerous churches and castles in and around Siusi. Some of our FLORIS Green Suites feature an idyllic view of the little church of St. Valentin, which has stood here since the 12th century and delights visitors with its well-preserved frescoes. The chapel of St. Sebastian in Tires al Catinaccio is also worth a detour. After all, the history of its origin provides fascinating insights into the time of the plague. At Prösels Castle in Fiè allo Sciliar, you can immerse yourself in the time of noble knights and damsels and, on request, also take part in a popular escape room game. At the traditional costume museum in Castelrotto, you can learn interesting facts about the traditional clothing of the region. Of course, the holiday area Alpe di Siusi awaits you with many other historical buildings and interesting museums. We would be more than happy to provide you with information during your stay.
Stroll and wander
South Tyrol’s towns are known for their picturesque lanes, excellent restaurants, and exciting historical facts. How about window shopping in the bishop’s town of Bressanone, for example? Pay a visit to Bressanone Cathedral and the Hofburg, wander through the arcades of the cloister, and visit the museum in the striking White Tower. This 72-metre-high Gothic tower is one of the city’s landmarks, along with the twin towers of the cathedral. Or would you rather stroll through the provincial capital of Bolzano? Every museum lover’s heart skips a beat here, after all, the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology with glacier mummy Ötzi, Museion Museum of Modern Art, the nature museum Museo Scienze Naturali Alto Adige, and much more await you here. Admire the ornate façades and enjoy the flair of Bolzano at Piazza Walther.
